Snowboarding
Snowboarding was developed in the 1960s and 70s, grew in popularity in the 1980s.It is a winter sport combines all skills in skiing, surfing, and skateboarding. Player stands on a snowboard while riding down any snow-covered surface.
Equipment needed: Snowboard and soft-to-mid flexing boots are need, not hard boots. No snow poles are used.
Benefits: It allows participants to express themselves in the beautiful nature, helps them to purify their soul and body, reduces tension and gets aerobic exercise.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing originated around 6000 years ago; it is similar to hiking in the snow. Participants walking over the snow with the help of snowshoes. This activity is suitable for all age groups & physical abilities and needs less technical skill than other winter sports.
Equipment Needed: Snowshoes are needed. Snowshoes comes with a frame and connecting fabric straps or lacing to allow better maneuver and prevents the foot from sinking into the snow.
Benefits: Snowshoeing is a simple but interesting winter sport, which allows players to have fun in the snow while taking low risks. Snowblading
Snowblading dated back to 1990s. It’s a winter sport that involves using short, twin-tip skis to glide down the slopes. It’s an alternative choice beside skiing for winter recreational activities.
Equipment Needed: Twin-tip skis and snow poles are needed. The skis range from 75-110cm in length. The skis have a wider base and easier to maneuver and turn.
Benefits: Snowblading is safer and easier to maneuver than traditional skis. It brings beginners more playful and relaxed experience. Having fun in the snow, enjoying the beauty of nature, and having full body exercise bring participants endless pleasure in the winter.
